After studying and enjoying a successful decade as a commercial photographer, Bodhi began her experimental
arts practice in 2014. Using photography as her foundation, she creates surreal and bewitching imagery from her travels and life, often speaking to both her outer and inner world experiences.
“I'm drawn to psychology, symbolism and the journey of the human soul, often using recurring metaphors to tap in and shine a light into the deep subconscious. Each dream-like artwork is intended to thoroughly delight and amplify a childlike curiosity and spirit - to hopefully inspire a more mindful heart and heartened mind.”
In her Limited Edition photography series, each element in the dream-like scenes; starry night skies, haunting figures and wild animals amongst ethereal landscapes, are all photographed in the real world then fastidiously stitched together digitally, some works taking over 100 hours to complete.
Her original artworks are often a visceral fusion of photography and overpainted mixed mediums including, acrylic, watercolour and gold or copper leaf.
Currently, Bodhi is immersed in creating a surreal mixed media body of work which delves into both the contemporary neuroscience and her personal experience as a neurodivergent woman.
